    Simon’s talk is great however it does not cover the technical details of how OpenID works.

    To get a summary of how the protocol works you may also want to check out this article:

    The article covers the basics of OpenID with sequence diagrams, technical details of the communication between the two servers and finishes with an OpenID4Java library implementation example.
